Nutrition and health coaching is one of the fastest-growing jobs in the professional world. This is because issues like obesity, diabetes, heart disease, chronic fatigue, and inflammation are also on the rise. With more and more people suffering from these health conditions, a need for trained professionals has been created who can help and guide these individuals to manage their health crises.

At the same time, people also realize that conventional medicine cannot help them fully with their needs. Many of these people are now turning to holistic approaches to better manage their health and quality of life. This is where I feel that I made one of the decisions of my life when I took the Holistic Nutrition and Health Coach Certification from NutraPhoria.

By becoming a certified holistic nutrition and health coach, I am now in a solid position to help people feel better by making smart choices through food and lifestyle changes. Here is a quick look at what this course has to offer and how you can use that information to create a dietary and lifestyle plan specific to your client’s needs.

The Certified Holistic Nutrition Course Diploma from NutraPhoria is divided into four core components:

  • Section 1: Integrative Health Fundamentals

This course is an introduction to the field of holistic healing and lifestyle choices. The primary focus here is to learn how to nourish the body and recognize how food makes the individual feel. It looks at food as an energy source that affects a person’s mood, productivity, motivation, and energy levels among other factors. The course also explores Ayurveda in relation to food.

  • Section 2: Principles of Holistic Health

The second course of the certification builds on the first fundamentals course, taking a deeper look at the areas of integrative wellness, nutritional needs of people as well as the detoxification protocols, cultural diets, and medical conditions involved. It is a course designed to help improve overall health with the principles of holistic healing.

  • Section 3: Nutrition Sciences

The third course of the certification takes a closer look at the role of nutrition in health. Studies in this course lead to a better understanding of how different nutrients react with different body systems. Students get a chance to examine the functions of macro and micronutrients in relation to body systems and how all these tie in together with digestion, absorption, elimination, and metabolic pathways.

  • Section 4: Meal Planning and Coaching Skills

The final course of the health coach certification teaches coaching skills. It is here that students learn to demonstrate their ability and knowledge when dealing with a client. Given their in-depth knowledge about nutrition will give students a stronger skill to convince and motivate their clients to make the changes they need.

Alongside coaching skills, students will also learn holistic food preparation, which involves cooking practices that retain the most nutrients.

Together the four components of the course will help students better understand the mind/ body/spirit relationship to food and assist their clients in finding the correct solution to their individual needs.

Graduates also receive access to the Nutrition Business Blueprint which will help them navigate starting a nutrition coaching business and how to turn their nutrition education into a successful career.

Happy learning!
