Homemade Lemonade Recipe

To make sure your summer days are still filled with refreshment and your lemonade contains healthy ingredients only, I’m going to share with you my homemade lemonade recipe.

One of the freshest drinks to make at home is lemonade. Lemonades are the signature drink for the summers when the weather is hot, and everyone wants a refreshment. Lemons are hydrating and rich in vitamin C, with the addition of also having their signature zesty citrus taste.

It’s true, you can purchase lemonade from stores now, but it comes with a risk: the risk of added sugars or preservatives in your beverage. Even though you’re getting the drink you want, there are less health benefits due to the addition of unwanted ingredients.

Since it’s completely homemade, there is not much you need at all!

Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

  • 1 organic lemon
  • 2 cups of fresh water
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of raw honey

You’re also going to need a high-powered blender. The one I use is a Vitamix Blender, which you can view on my Amazon page. If you have one at home, make sure it has the smoothie setting for a strong and smooth blend.

You’ll want to get yourself organic lemons since these reap the most health benefits. The key is to look for lemons with a sticker that says 9 on it. This indicates that it’s an organic lemon.

Instructions

Peel your lemon and then cut it into quarters. Once this is done, you can assemble your lemonade in the blender! (You don’t have to worry about the seeds, they’ll get blended too, and they’re a great source of nutrition!)

Put your lemon slices, water, honey, and ice cubes in the blender and blend until smooth. Using honey is a healthier and richer option in comparison to sugar, so consider it your natural sweetener.

Once made, you can now store your lemonade in the fridge in a glass container or mason jar to keep it long-lasting and fresh! If you’re interested in buying some mason jars, you can check out my Amazon page once again! Glass jars are better than plastic containers since they don’t carry any passable chemicals.

Once blended to perfection, you now have a healthy and natural lemonade!

Use this homemade lemonade recipe whenever you want and add to it as much as you’d like! The nature of this recipe makes it a great foundation for future experiments in the kitchen.
